Unlike traditional financial and health websites that post your calculation inputs to remote backend databases, I Hate Calculator (operated at ihatecalculator.com) executes 100% of calculation algorithms inside your web browser’s local JavaScript sandbox.

2. Information We Never Collect or Store

We specifically do not collect, process, or sell any of the following sensitive categories:

• Financial Values: We do not know or record your home purchase price, mortgage loan balance, interest rate, salary, 401(k) contributions, or net worth.
• Biometric & Health Metrics: We do not record your body weight, height, age, biological sex, BMI calculations, or daily calorie targets.
• Personal Dining & Tip Totals: We do not record restaurant bill totals or guest split distributions.
• Personal Identifiers: We do not require registration, login accounts, phone numbers, or credit cards to access any calculator.

3. Local Browser Storage (LocalStorage)

To provide a seamless reading experience, our website uses your browser’s standard localStorage API solely to store non-identifying user interface preferences:

• ihatecalculator_theme: Remembers whether you prefer Day Mode (light) or Evening Mode (dark).
• ihatecalculator_lang: Remembers your preferred interface language (e.g., en, vi, es, fr, de).

This preference data never leaves your device and can be cleared at any time by emptying your browser cache.

4. Technical Server Access Logs

When your browser requests a webpage or stylesheet, standard web server infrastructure automatically logs temporary connection metadata:

• Internet Protocol (IP) address.
• Browser type, version, and operating system.
• Referring website and requested URL timestamp.

These logs are retained for a limited duration (up to 30 days) strictly for network security, DDoS mitigation, debugging, and traffic load optimization, after which they are purged.

5. Zero Tracking Cookies & No Ad Networks

We despise intrusive behavioral advertising. I Hate Calculator does not use:

• Cross-site ad tracking pixels (e.g., Meta Pixel, TikTok Pixel).
• Third-party behavioral profiling networks.
• Fingerprinting or canvas-based identity tracking scripts.

6. Compliance with Global Privacy Standards (GDPR, CCPA, APP)

Because we do not store personal data or calculation records, our architecture is inherently compliant with the highest global privacy statutes:

• European Union & UK GDPR: Users have the right to access, rectify, or erase personal data. Since we store zero personal dossiers, no personally identifiable profiles exist to erase.

7. Widget Embedding Privacy

When webmasters embed our calculators using the Embed Hub, the iframe inherits the same client-side isolation model. We do not set tracking cookies inside embedded iframes, nor do we track readers on host websites.
